Question:
Hello, I have a 2008 Highlander with a 5pin connector. I need a 7pin. How does this work with the 4 to 7 pin kit I see.

Hey Steve! First of all, you will need more than just the # 37185. For a complete kit to add a 7-way we have the # ETBC7. This comes with the adapter, wiring, breakers, and everything else required for installation. All of these have a 4-way to plug into, but that won't be an issue.
Your 5-way will still be able to plug into the 4-way on the adapter with the 5th pin remaining open/exposed. Assuming you still want to use the reverse light circuit, you can cut the wire and splice it into the yellow wire on the adapter. If you have any other questions feel free to reply below.
