Question:

Hi, can I take a steel Terra 45 and buy the Superwinch synthetic rope, then simply replace the steel cable with the synthetic one? I understand that there is a mechanical break mechanism in the Terra 45 that could get hot and melt the rope! Is that the case? Is the Synthetic Terra 45 designed differently to the Steel Terra 45?

You can replace the metal cable of your Superwinch Terra 45 winch with a synthetic rope. I confirmed this with my contact at Superwinch.

The part number for the rope is in the process of being added to our site. When it is available it will be part # SW87-42613.
