Are There Powered Retractable Tonneau Covers that Fit 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 5-1/2 ft Bed

Updated 03/20/2025 | Published 03/09/2025

Question:

I am about to purchase a 2025 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate short bed with the carbon pro bed. You website indicates that several Pace Edwards electric tonneau covers are compatible with the carbon pro bed but the Pace Edwards website says none of their electric tonneaus are compatible with carbon pro. What choices do I have for an electric tonneau cover to fit this new truck or should I seek a model with a steel bed? Thanks

Hey Jeff, thanks for this question as you are correct, Pace does not have any electric retracting tonneau covers that fit the carbon pro beds of the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 5-1/2 foot bed like the Bedlocker part # 311-BLCA27A58. I sent an update to have our site fixed but I would recommend you go with a steel bed. Is reason you were thinking carbon just for weight savings?

I have the carbon bed now and have found that there are other suppliers that offer an electric retractable tonneau cover for these trucks. Check out the PowerTraxPRO XR.

@JeffL We have a PowerTraxPRO XR that fits your truck with the part # RTX53FR. We have a note that it also does not work with the CarbonPro box though.

@JamesonC Thank you Jameson. I called the manufacturer about this a couple of days ago. They said the correct kit for my truck is #T-90488. They confirmed this is the correct kit for my 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 with the carbon pro, short (5'10") bed. I appreciate your help sorting through this.

@JeffL That must be a brand new part number that we don't have quite yet. Thanks for letting us know though.
