7-way plugs on dodge and gm pus are not wired the same from the factory. do they make an adapter to work from one to the other?

In my experience most factory 7-Way connectors are wired the same. You may have a aftermarket 7-Way connector installed on one of the two vehicles that has been wired differently or you may have a factory 7-Way that has been rewired to match a trailer that has a different wiring configuration.
I would use a circuit tester, item # PTW2993 if needed, to check the connectors inside both trucks 7-Way. I would then make a diagram of each vehicles connections and check the wiring with the standard 7-Way wiring on our wiring page (see link). When looking at the diagram on the wiring page you are looking at the connections inside the plug not on the outside under the cover so use the trailer end for the view from the outside of the vehicle end. When you find the connector that is wired to standard trailer wiring code then you can wire the other vehicle to match. This way as long as a trailer is wired standard you will be able to use your 7-Way on your vehicle with the trailer. We do not have a 7-Way adapter for alternate wiring situations.
