Question:
I have a Canadian military 1/4 ton trailer CDN M101 with standard hand operated parking brake drum type. The brake internals are so rusted and seem beyond repair that I would just like to replace w new units. I cant tell which I should be looking at when all I see listed are electric or hydraulic drum brakes. Any experience w these trailers and these brakes?

It sounds like you have a hydraulic drum parking brake on your trailer. We do offer both 10- and 12-inch (and left- and right-side) hydraulic drum brake assemblies with a parking brake lever.
For example, part # T2351300 from Titan is a 12- x 2-inch Uni-Servo Hydraulic Trailer Brake Assembly w/ Parking Brake Lever. This can be used with their optional kit # T2385200.
You will need to check the mounting flange pattern on your trailer to confirm compatibility.
If you wish you can advise your brake diameter and thickness, and your mounting hole pattern, and I will check for a compatible unit; or you can enter the phrase 'trailer parking brake' into our search box to see all options.
