Are Rhino-Rack Fit Kits Tower/Location Specific

Question:

Hello, I have four rhino rack 2500 legs but only one of them has a fitting pad. for the front right leg. Is this replacement pad used for all four of the legs or are there specific replacement parts for each leg e.g. front left, back left, back right?

Hi Ethan,

The fit kit pads you're referring to are all specific and would need to placed on the correct leg in order to fit the contours of the vehicle it's being mounted to. If you can tell me the year/make/model of the vehicle you're wanting to mount them to I can see what fit kit and crossbar size is needed for it.

Hello Kevin, I have a 2012 Lexus IS 350 4dr sedan. I believe I currently have the Rhino rack 2500 leg pack with a square-steel crossbar (unsure of the length).

@EthanG Rhino-Rack unfortunately doesn't have a fit kit for your Lexus so you would need to go with a different brand since parts aren't interchangeable between brands. The closest option to what you currently have would be the Inno Square Bar Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # IN86SR. other than that there's a couple of options from Yakima as well. If that's not really want you're wanting and have some preferences on what you would want then let me know and I can make a better recommendation.

@KevinC Does the Inno brand sell the fitting kit I need or would I need to buy the whole set of legs?

@Ethan Roof rack components aren't cross-compatible between brands so you'd need to purchase the whole set to get a compatible roof rack for your Lexus.
