What Is The Actual Opening Width Requirement For The MORryde RV Cargo Sliding Tray MR83FR?

Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/27/2024

Question:

Im putting this in a 2017 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 38k LXE Class A motorhome in the rear through bay. One end has been taken up by my solar gear, so I have 63inch depth to play with, and the 60inch one-way tray makes sense. Precisely, what is the opening requirement for the 42inch wide tray? My bay is wider on the inside, but the opening is 41.75, which is exactly what your dimensions show. That would be too tight but Im hoping your dimensions are for the outside of the rail and the tray itself is more narrow. My front through bay came with the 36inch 2-way tray but that wastes space on the sides that Id rather the tray manage. Thanks!

Hello Bryan, thanks for reaching out. The MORryde RV Cargo Sliding Tray # MR83FR is 41-3/4" wide overall and this is counting the tracks on each side. The actual opening requirement for this tray would be 38-7/8" since that is the width of the actual tray itself. You will have no issues using this tray in your 41.75" wide opening. It will fit like a glove.

Hey Bryan, how did the fit go with the MORryde cargo tray in your rear through bay? It sounds like the measurements were right on the edge. Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar storage space.
