Is Saris Door County Bike Rack Compatible With RVs

Question:
I’m seeing conflicting information on the Saris door county hitch rack. Saris website says it’s approved for RVs. etrailer website says it’s not approved for RVs. Can you provide clarification? Thanks.

Hey Terry,
I sure can; I went directly to the manufacturer, Saris, and they verified the Saris Door County Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # SAR42RR is approved for use on RVs. It can be used on Class A, B and C motorhomes but not trailers.
The directions of the Door County say it cannot be used on RVs but they said that was incorrect and they will be updating those directions, which is where the confusion is coming in. But the bottom line is if you have a Class A, B or C motorhome you can use the Door County Bike Rack # SAR42RR.

Thanks Kyle. I have one more question. What is the SAR42RR number? Is that an etrailer stock number? Is it the same rack as the Saris#4800? Thanks for the help.
