Question:

My son has a 2003 Nissan Frontier. Existing bump stops are right above the leaf springs. Is welding still required? Which Tiber would be right?

Hey William, that is a great question. For the Timbren # TNR1004 kit you mentioned, the only welding required is for the 4" disc which is welded directly below the Timbren assembly. So even with the factory bump stops being where they are, welding the disc will still be required in order to install the # TNR1004 kit which is correct for the 2003 Nissan Frontier.

if you prefer not to weld, we do have the Timbren # TNR10087 kit which is for the 2003 Frontier and does not require welding. The # TNR10087 are 3,600 lb capacity so they are a bit stronger than the # TNR1004.

My son and I installed the TRN10087. They came off the bolts before he left the pavement! I have a picture but can’t paste it to this reply. Order #121280740 The leaf springs on the 2003 Nissan Frontier ride on top of the axle. So the bracket could not be attached. Maybe a different product?

@WilliamE You can email me pictures if you just reply to the email that brought you to this page. You can give customer service a call if you need to initiate a return. The SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit # SSA1 is a good option that will work with the leaf springs on top of the axle. That or the TorkLift StableLoads # TLA7311, but this will only work if the leaf springs have a lower overload spring and I can't quite tell from your picture.

@JesseM Any chance of sending two of the rubber parts so we could try again?

@WilliamE We generally can't send out just a part of a kit unless there is a warranty issue. What happened exactly? Did the rubber springs fall off and were lost? Do you not still have them?
