Question:
I have a 12K Hudson trailer. The frame height is 7 in. at the tongue. The 2 - 5/16 ball hitch is bad and I would like to replace it with a pintle hook and adjustable adapter. Would are you recommendations ? Is there anything I should consider ?

Hi Steve; as long as you have the lunette ring size you want and a high enough capacity there isn't much else to it. The Brophy Lunette Ring w/ 3-Position Adjustable Channel Bracket # BR43ZR you looked at would work and has more than enough capacity. If you want more adjustability they also have the 5-Position # BR63ZR. I recommend taking this to a certified welder for installation.

Hey Steve, how did the swap to the pintle hook and adjustable adapter go on your Hudson trailer? Your update could make it easier for others looking to move from a ball hitch to a lunette ring setup.
