Question:
I have a 12K Hudson trailer. The frame height is 7 in. at the tongue. The 2 - 5/16 ball hitch is bad and I would like to replace it with a pintle hook and adjustable adapter. Would are you recommendations ? Is there anything I should consider ?

Hi Steve; as long as you have the lunette ring size you want and a high enough capacity there isn't much else to it. The Brophy Lunette Ring w/ 3-Position Adjustable Channel Bracket # BR43ZR you looked at would work and has more than enough capacity. If you want more adjustability they also have the 5-Position # BR63ZR. I recommend taking this to a certified welder for installation.
