Sliding 5TH Wheel Trailer Hitch For a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 Short Bed
Question:
Short bed Chevy Z71 1500 year 2005. Will need to slide. Will this hutch work and if so will it need other parts as well. Thank you.

The Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16115 you found is a fixed hitch and should primarily only be used in long bed trucks. For your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 short bed you are going to want to start with the Rail Kit # BWRVR3200 and if you have the 5-1/2' bed you will want to use the Demco Autoslide # DM8550040 which can slide back up to 22-1/2". If you have a 6-1/2' bed then the B&W Patriot # BWRVK3270 would be the way to go.
Do remember to use a Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # 41157 so you can connect the 5th wheels 7-way into your bed.
