Is Middle Bolt Hole on 2018 Honda Odyssey Different When Installing Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch
Updated 05/07/2024 | Published 05/05/2024 >
Question:
Michigan 2018 Honda Odyssey. Got the 76170. Got a tap coming for the passenger side mounting holes. Impossible for the bolt to thread. I’ve sprayed liquid wrench, gun bore cleaner, 12 gauge brass brush, and started, extracted, cleaner, brush, repeat, etc. after 30 minutes of slow process on one hole gave up. Going to tap it with a 12m x 1.25. My question is on this vehicle, the install says 6 bolts. I’ve got six holes, but the middle hole on each side doesn’t seem close to a 12m x 1.25. Did the 2018 year use something else for the middle bolt hole?

Hi Dan,
First, thanks so much for the purchase from etrailer of the Draw-Tite Hitch # 76170 for your 2018 Honda Odyssey. We appreciate that, and in regards to the bolt holes, the middle one is not different on the 2018 model of Odyssey, it is the same size. The M12 bolts are even the same size in the other hitches that fit the '18 Odyssey.

Thank you..... Agreed. I bought a m12 x 1.25 tap, and all holes, but especially the two middle holes, were rusted and loaded with junk. Thanks again>>>>
