Hi Kay,

Depending on the model of your Roadmaster baseplate you'll need a different adapter for a Reese tow bar. The # 1541-1 you were looking at is an XL model and would need adapter # RM-025. This adapter fits EZ, EZ2, EZ4, and XL (Crossbar Style) Roadmaster baseplates.

I purchased the road master baseplate #1541-5. Do I still need this adapter?

@Kay The Roadmaster # 1541-5 is an 'MX' model, which doesn't currently have a compatible adapter for your Reese tow bar so you'll unfortunately need to get a different tow bar. I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522 as a compatible replacement.
