Expert Reply:
On the 6-Pole Square Trailer Wiring Connector Kit # 37995 the white wire is the ground.
Brown is running lights
Green is right turn
Yellow is left turn
Blue is brakes
Red is brake lights
On a 6-Way that has combined brake light and turn signal it is usually the red wire that will be 12-volt power and the green and yellow wires will have turn signal and brake light functions.
However, you cannot go by color when wiring up a new harness or harnesses. You have to go by the functions by using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 and wire everything in accordingly on the vehicle side.
On the trailer side you can either trace it wire back to where it terminates to determine function, or you can apply power to each wire and see what turns on (using a separate 12-volt battery).
