Thanks for the research. Whats the replacem,ent you recommend made of? I want to weld a plate to an iron bar on my boat trailer.

Part # DL24053 is a heavy 3/8 x 4 x 8 inch steel plate with quick mount studs with a Zinc TUFFPLATE finish. I would definitely consult a professional welder about the practicality of welding steel to iron.
