This adapter plate allows you to instantly mount your electric winch on a ball with up to 2" diameter. Just bolt the winch to the plate, slide the pear-shaped cutout over the ball, and you're ready to go.

We bought this for a different winch, but found it easy to just drill new holes to where we needed them on the mounting plate. The photos are self-explanatory - attach the plate to a block of wood so it can be inserted into the drill press clamp.
I also made an attachment "lock" for the hitch bracket. The template was tested first to assure fit, then the final metal plate was cut out and secured so that it swiveled. A pin holds it in place when "closed."

It's a directional problem solver for a horizontal application. I use it in conjunction with my D- L Strongarm winch to raise my boat dock from the water.

I used it to winch a 69 Mustang on a uHaul auto transport trailer using the Ram bumper trailer ball as an anchor. It worked fine. The uHaul trailer was attached to the 2” receiver under the Ram bumper.

Bolted this to the StrongArm Winch and went to work. We are using this on our work barge for pulling 4x4 dock supports out of 8 feet of silt and 3 feet of blue clay on the outlet to Chautauqua Lake. This ,with are barge built on Perma Floats, is getting the job done.

The ball adapter plate did exactly what I needed it to do. I mounted a winch on the plate and anchored that to the concrete floor in my garage. The whole setup is used to winch my boat up an incline and into the garage. Works great.

- Will Dutton-Lainson Ball Adapter Plate Work With Power Winch 912 Although they are not tested together, the Dutton-Lainson Ball Adapter Plate, part # DL24053 may work with your winch. The two holes nearest the ball hole are 2-1/2 inches apart on center and the single hole is 3 inches back from the centerline of the other two holes. I have attached a photo of the adapter plate with the hole dimensions noted you can check out.
