Question:
Im thinking about purchasing the the FATcat evo 6 or the Kuat grip ski/snowboard carrier for my 2024 toyota rav4 hybrid. Im going to be place 4 snowboards. The fat cat can be raised so that the bindings will not scratch the roof. Does the Kuat have enough clearance so bindings will not scratch the roof?

Expert Reply:
Hey Noel, the Kuat carrier part # GRR6B does not have ability to raise up to gain more clearance for bindings. There wouldn't be a way to have the bindings on the boards and have them pointing down. Since the Yakima Fatcat Evo 6 part # Y03096 does have ability to raise 5 inches for this reason I would go with it instead.
