Can The Converter In A Progressive Dynamics # PD4135K Power Center Be Disabled

Question:
Is there a way to disable the charging output on these units? I want to use my existing unit which is not a lithium-capable charger and install my own charger specifically for the lithium battery. Can you pull a fuse or a jumper to prevent this unit from trying to charge the battery? Thanks!

Yes, all you'll need to do is disconnect the three wires running from the converter section in your Progressive Dynamics 4100 # PD4135K from the AC distribution panel (circuit breaker, ground bus bar, neutral bus bar). This will cut the power running to the converter and allow you to use your separate charger.
All that being said, the # PD4135K has a very tiny switch that can change the charging profile from lead acid to lithium which I've pictured below. If you have a different unit let me know and I can see if there's a switch or jumper available to avoid buying that other charger.
