Question:
hello for a 2017 Honda civic sedan ex-t do I need to connect to the battery for a basic tail light turn signal?

Expert Reply:
The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56396 which fits your 2017 Honda Civic EX-T sedan requires power to the converter for basic trailer light functions. The converter only draws a small amount of power from the vehicles tail light wiring harness and sends power from the battery to the trailer wiring to activate the lights. This protects the vehicles tail light wiring from drawing more power than it was designed to handle.
