Does it Matter If Air Is Put in Air Lift Kit Before or After Trailer is Loaded
Published 09/13/2023 >
Question:
I am trying to confirm if it matters when air pressure should be added raised on my 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with AirLift 57288 installed. Would I add air into the system before or after I attach my trailer to my truck? Also, once some amount of air is added, should I expect the rear ride height of the truck to raise? thats kind of the point to this product, right? A related question with some amount of air added, my truck should not squatinch 3inch rear ride height once trailer is hooked up like it does without Airlift, correct? Thanks

You can add air to the Air Ride LoadLifter 5000 air bag kits like the part # AL89399 actually at any point but you'll find most likely that when it is loaded is when you'll at the very least need to tweak the air pressure to get the trailer to sit totally level.
The point of these kits is to bring the suspension height level back to the stock height after it has the weight of the trailer on it.
