Question:

I want to replace the cam lock on my enclosed trailers side door with an RV style lock and latch like Item # 295-000019, so the door can be opened and closed from the inside. It looks like most of these are replacement locks meant to go in a previous cut-out. Since mine doesnt have a cut-out, is it possible to make one for this and the clasp and lock in the door jam? thanks.

The Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit with Keyed Alike Option # 295-000019 needs to be installed into a cutout that is 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to 3" wide x 4" tall, so you'd either need to add a cutout to your door or replace it with another cam lock.

We do have the Bauer Products Locking Cam Latch for Horse Trailers # BA32FR which would work for your trailer as a replacement should you just want to stick with a cam lock.
