Question:
I installed a Atwood 13,500 non ducted and currently running the thermostat wires to a 12v 5amp small battery will this work or do I need something bigger?

The Atwood Air Command you installed in your trailer draws 11 amps at 12, so your single 12v 5 amp house battery is not going to be enough.
You're going to need to beef up your battery bank quite a bit if you plan on using your AC for any amount of time. To figure out exactly what size battery bank you need, start by finding out the amperage draw of your AC, and how many hours per day you plan to run the unit. From here you can get an understanding on how big of a battery bank you're going to need.
I've attached an FAQ that shows you a bit how you can calculate this figure to find out what you need.
