Published 07/12/2023 >
Question:
for the APT9 spring hanger kit, the dimension is missing for axle clearance. What is the clearance with a 3 axle? Will this kit allow enough suspension cycle for a 3 axle and 6K springs two 6K axles. the fenders and tire clearance are not an issue.

Expert Reply:
The axle clearance - distance between the center of your 6k, 3 inch axle and trailer frame - will be 3-3/4 inches when using the spring hanger kit you asked about, which is the following part number:
- Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs - 2-1/2" Front/Rear/Center # APT9
The 3-3/4 inches of the # APT9 will be more than enough as the recommended minimum clearance is 2 inches, so you'll have a good deal more than that.
