Question:
I have a new 2023 Holiday Rambler 28ft. Class A motorhome on a 2022 Ford F53 chassis. I have seen many articles recommending suspension upgrades, such as the Roadmaster sway bars, etc. It appears that Ford may have upgraded the F53 suspension in 2021 with the new engine. I am planning a two-week trip from Michigan to Utah and back in September. What Suspension/Steering improvements do you recommend?

Steering stabilizers as well as Anti-Sway bars from Roadmaster are definitely going to be a major help with keep your motorhome tracking straight and reducing driver fatigue, but another very popular choice to improve ride quality is to install SumoSprings. Depending on the GVWR of your 2023 Holiday Rambler you'll need to use different kits for the front and rear axles:
16K-18K:
Front # SSF-170-40-2
Rear # SSR-183-54-1
20K-22K:
Front # SSF-170-40-2
Rear # SSR-180-54-1
24K-26K:
Front # SSF-170-40-2
Rear # SSR-183-54-1
These maintenance free springs are easy to install and work independently to handle offset loads or high crosswinds to keep your motorhome standing up straight. They have a progressive load control that's much softer than the competing style spring so that it doesn't feel like your hitting a pothole when they engage.
If you also want to install a steering stabilizer and anti-sway bars then you would need the following components, depending on engine size:
V8:
Front # RM72MR
Rear # RM25VR
Stabilizer (GVWR under 22K) # RM63RR (GVWR over 22K) # RM82RR
V10:
Front: No model currently available to fit.
Rear # RM25VR
Stabilizer # RM-RBK22-RSSA
The steering stabilizer will be a noticeable improvement immediately, but you'll want to check the thickness of your current anti-sway bars before purchasing new ones. If the old ones are the same or thicker then I would stick with them. Essentially the larger the thickness the better the quality of the sway bar.
