Can K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors Go Through Automatic Car Wash
Updated 06/07/2023 | Published 06/06/2023 >
Question:
I have a 2018 GMC Sierra SLT and I use an automated car wash on a regular basis. I understand the power fold function will not operate with these mirrors but have 2 questions for you: 1 Does the manufacturer recommend use of an automated car wash with their mirrors? 2 Can you confirm the manual folding capability has detents or stops when the mirrors are folded to normal operating position after having been folded in for parking or a car wash? Thank you.

The K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors # KS62135-36G that you referenced will easily be able to withstand an automatic car wash so there's nothing to worry about there. It does have detents so when folding and unfolding you'll know where to stop the mirror.
