Hi, I have a 1999 Honda civic and Im planning on getting a dirt bike rack which is probably 50 lbs and my bike is around 250 lbs is that too much weight?

For your 1999 Honda Civic sedan or hatchback the Curt # C11207 is the highest capacity with 200lbs of tongue weight. Instead of carrying your 250lb dirt bike on a rack you would need to haul it on a small Trailer # K2MMT4X6. This means you will also need the 4-Way # 119178KIT to control the trailer tail lights. To connect to this particular trailer will need a Ball Mount # C45017, 1-7/8" Ball # 19256 and Hitch Pin # F-4. Other small utility trailers may require a 2" Ball # 19258 depending on the coupler size.
