Question:
Just so Im clear because these are pricey choices, if I were to buy a Yakima EXO 2bike carrier, is it possible to add on a Yakima gearlocker or basket later, because of the EXO system? If it is, is it hard to do, since the bike rack has to go above the locker/basket?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Yakima EXO systems are modular which means yes you can start with the Exo Double Up Bike rack part # Y92VR and then add components to allow you to also carry a gear locker/basket if you wanted to.
The additional components you'd need would be:
TopShelf # Y94VR
GearLocker # Y44VR or GearWarrior part # Y37VR
Its not hard to do by any means but the bike rack does have to go on the TopShelf so you'd have to lift the bikes higher.
