If your Atwood water heater is clicking but not igniting then it most likely isn't getting enough propane to properly ignite. You'll need to have a qualified technician check the water column (gas pressure) to see if you're getting 11" WC. If not then your either your tanks aren't fully/fully open or the regulator is going bad or just simply needs to be adjusted. If the regulator is bad then you can replace it with either the horizontal # 108221 or vertical # 108220, depending on your setup.

It was also very common for the ignitor to wear out and need to be replaced but the part has been discontinued and you'd most likely only be able to find it secondhand at this point. With Atwood being out of business there really aren't any parts available to actually fix the unit and it typically ends up just being a complete replacement.

I'm seeing multiple dimensions for the Atwood GE16-EXT model so I'll need to know the dimensions you actually have to find the correct replacement to avoid having to make major alterations to your cutout hole.
