Question:

The product details for this hitch show an allowed 350lb tongue weight, but when I was looking on the draw-tite web site, it shows a 200lb tongue weight. : This Class III hitch is rated for up to 3,500 pounds GTW and up to 200 pounds TW. The instructions on your web site, for installation of this hitch, are for draw-tite part #76912, which is the product page that I linked above. So, is this hitch actually only rated for a 200lb tongue weight?

What's really interesting is the install instructions for the Draw Tite hitch part # DT98GR, which is Draw Tite's 76912, actually state that the capacities for this hitch are 1,750 lb total trailer weight and 175 lb tongue weight. BUT the really good news is that this hitch was replaced with our part number # DT97YR which is Draw Tite's part number 76929 which does have the capacities of 3,500 lb trailer and 350 lb tongue weight.
