Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2007 Prevost Bus RV Towing 16 feet Car Trailer
Updated 01/08/2014 | Published 01/07/2014 >
Question:
The Prevost bus has air brakes. Why should I use this particular product over an RF brake controller? Does it make a difference choosing one over the other? Awaiting your advice with great interest as I am going to order the car trailer within the next few days. Thank you!

All things considered I would go with a proportional electric brake controller before I would use the Hayes Air Brake Controller # HA100400C. Both offer proportional braking power for the trailer, but the electric brake controller is much less expensive and installs easier.
The brake controller we recommend the most is the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885. The reason for this is because of how easy it installs and how well it works.
The Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller that you references is also an option that would work very well, but it is a little more expensive and has a slightly more involved installation.
I attached installation videos and instructions for both controllers for you to check out.
I also attached an FAQ article on installing a brake controller from scratch for you to check out.
