can you put your skis in a bag when using the thule snowpack

The Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier part # TH7326B is designed to be used with bare skis meaning ski which are not in a bag. The issue with putting the skis inside a bag with the carrier is that they could slide around. The bag would also catch wind increasing noise and reducing aerodynamics. I don't have any open ski carriers that will allow you to carry them inside a bag so if this is something you want to do you'd need to place them in a ski box like the Thule Force XT L Rooftop Cargo Box part # TH6357B.
