Question:
Hi: I want to install a recycle valve so I can recycle the cold water in the hot line at the faucets. I have a Truma Aqua go plus. So I lose about 12-16 oz of water waiting for hot water. Can I use this fitting? How is it used? Drill an appropriate hole near top of tank and tap into fresh water tank? If I mess up, do you sell a plug for the hole? Thanks

The Valterra RV Plumbing Fittings are designed to thread into an unused hole on the water tank. The holes are usually either 1/4", 1/2", or 3/8". If you don't have any unused pre-drilled and threaded holes on your water tank you'd need to make your own by drilling a hole and running a tap through. These will then allow you to attach a hose via the barbed fittings with a hose clamp. The threaded side will require sealant like the Thread Tape part # A05-0265. They are offered in a few different sizes which I have attached for you below.
1/2" NPT - 1/2" Barb part # RF841
3/8" NPT - 1/2" Barb part # RF840
1/4" NPT - 3/8" Barb part # RF850
1/2" NPT - 3/8" Barb part # RF883
Unfortunately, we cannot assist with installation in the method you described and this would be best left to a plumbing professional.
