Im having a problem with my plow not operating from the joystick I took the joystick apart and the contact strip looks visually ok is it possible that it is still bad. The motor runs and lifts plow with a jumper. IF not what could my problem be

It seems unlikely it is just the contact strip if it looks fine, but if you want to try that first to see what the issue is then the replacement for the Western 56026 is the Replacement Contact Strip # 3371314005.
If that does not work the problem is the joystick's internal wiring and circuitry being damaged so you'd just replace your Western 56018 joystick with the Replacement Joystick Control # 3371314000.
