Will RetraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover Freeze Shut During Winter Months

Question:
Do you have any real-world reports on whether the RTX47XR freezes up in northern states with melting snow and ice? i live in the northeast where we have many freeze-thaw days which I imagine could dribble into the rollers and tracks and then refreeze. Is it necessary to keep it cleaned off all the time, even when no use is anticipated? My previous truck had a tri-fold which worked well in these conditions but Id like to use a retractable if it wont be frozen up.

From what I've gathered online it looks like the RetraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTX47XR for your 6-1/2' bed 2022 Toyota Tundra won't have any trouble with the retracting part of the operation but that sometimes the cover for the lock can freeze shut or the tonneau cover will freeze shut to the tailgate and be difficult to open - but that could be the case with most other tonneau covers as well.
The maintenance and care guide calls for rubbing some Paraffin, or candle wax, along the rails to ensure smooth operation and from what I saw it looks like that helped for both the rails and the key lock.
