What To Do If a Jensen JWM41 RV Stereo Is Not Getting Power or Display Will Not Show

Question:

We took the radio/player out of the wall and fuse and wires look good. No power at all. I was setting the clock and it went dead.

If your Jensen RV Stereo # JWM40 (JWM41) is not turning on or you are not getting front panel operation there are a few things you can try.

- Try the reset button
- Check fuse
- Check 12V+ on accessory wire to radio (RED wire)
- Check Ground

Since it sounds like you have already checked the wiring and the fuse, I recommend using a ball point pen or similar object to press the reset button which is number 21 on the included diagram.

Dear Scott, I had the same power problem, radio not coming on the Jensen JWM41 model. Did a search and your post came up. After reading the options you suggested created a aha moment. This radio is new and wiring looks good. If the reset button you suggested did not work, the fuse would be the next step. This radio was replaced by Grand Designs 2021 GD Transcend 30 RBS model. I’m having an issue with my rv radio/cd (JensenJWM41). I tried to reset the clock and pushed the minute and hour button at the same time. It went dead. Tried the reset button and it has power but the display doesn’t light up. Fuse is good. Breaker is good. Disconnected the power. Tried every button and everything I can think of with no luck. Searched many google sites with no luck. Could use some technical advice, thanks. Ray

@RayM Unfortunately it sounds like an internal problem that is not repairable on your Jensen stereo. Unless you can find a repair guy local to you who can work on small electronics like this it would be time to replace the stereo. The current version of this would be the part # JWM45.

@RayM Did you figure anything out with you JensenJWM41? I did the same thing with the minute and hour button trying to find the AM and PM setting. UGGG the reset will only power up while I'm pressing it. If I figure it out I'll let you know. Must be some button combo to fix it???
