Mounting a Pullrite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch # 2700 in a 2014 F-250 With 5th Wheel Prep Package
Updated 11/21/2013 | Published 11/19/2013 >
Question:
I heard that the best way to mount a Pullrite Superglide #2700 15K into a 2014 F250 short bed with the tow pre package was to use a Reese #30156 adapter. Is this correct? I dont have any parts today and want to make the best purchase. I obviously want to use the existing holes.

You are correct. The Pullrite SuperGlide Fifth Wheel Hitch, # 2700, requires the industry standard above bed base rails to mount in a truck bed. The Reese Elite Series Adapter, # RP30156, provides the mounting slots for fifth hitches that use industry standard base rails on Ford Super Duty trucks with the OEM fifth wheel prep package.
The SuperGlide hitch will use the inner mounting slots (see photo) on the adapter. This adapter is not permanently installed in your truck, so you can remove the adapter and the hitch each time you need to use your truck bed.
