Question:

Hello. I have a 2021 Mazda CX-9 signature. Im trying to figure out exactly what wiring harness I need. There is two listed one that says wiring harness with a four-pin connector and then one says there is a wiring harness with factory tow package. Im trying to figure out if there is a way I could find out which one I would really need? It doesnt say on my window sticker if I have a tow package or not.

Your 2021 Mazda CX-9 comes with a factory OEM tow package. Essentially all this is, is a plug in port that allows you to plug in the wiring harness instead of having to splice it into your wiring.

Both the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118278 and the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56338 will install using that OEM port and provide you with a 4-way trailer connector.

While both wiring harnesses are a good option, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118278. Tekonsha has proven to be one of the most reliable wiring harness options out there. I have included a video that goes over the installation of this wiring harness.

I recommend using the No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket # 18140 and Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144 to mount the 4-way and keep it clean/secure.
