Trailer Hitch Receiver and 7-Way Connector Compatible With a 2015.5 Volvo XC60

Question:

Hi, Id like to add a trailer hitch to a 2015.5 Volvo XC60. Looks like youre recommending the DrawTite 76116. My preference is a 7-pin wiring harness - do you have anything like that for my vehicle. When purchasing an OEM harness from Volvo, they require some sort of SW upgrade. Do you know if that is required when purchasing a harness from you guys? Finally, Volvos hitch is Class II. Are there any concerns with using a Class III hitch for this application? Thanks

Currently there is only a 4-Way Flat Connector # 118739 for your 2015.5 Volvo XC60. You will still be able to use this with a Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. The 4-way will connect to the 7-way and give you the wiring and parts needed to install a Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED52VR with the 7-way. These harnesses will not require any special parts or programming from Volvo.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76116 being a class III with the 2" opening will provide you with a larger range of accessories that can be used. You will want to ensure you do not exceed any tongue weight/tow capacities given by Volvo for your specific XC60.
