I am not sure which base plate setup to order for my pickup. I was under the impression that my frame and front were the same as the 2018. However your website is calling out the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Fixed Arms Item # RM-3180-2 as not confirmed for the 2017. Which base plate kit do you recommend for my vehicle?

Roadmaster has a base plate kit that fits your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 with tow hooks with the part # 3167-1 but the kit you mentioned is not a confirmed fit and would not work.
