Question:
I have a 2003 Acura MDX Touring with the OEM hitch and flat 4 connector. I would like to upgrade to a slightly larger pop-up camper that has electric brakes. What do you recommend to convert my MDX from the flat 4 connector to a 7 pin connector? Also, do you know if my MDX is pre-wired for a brake controller? Thanks.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The 2003 Acura MDX is not per-wired for a brake controller so you will need a few things in order to install a brake controller starting with a 4- to 7-Way installation kit # ETBC7. This will provide the 7-Way and the wiring and accessories to install the brake controller. I have included some links that explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
For a brake controller, I recommend the P2, # 90885. This controller is very popular because it is reliable, easy to set up, and easy to use.
