Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2004 Monaco Cayman Diesel Pusher With 7,500 Pound Capacity

Question:

I have a 2004 Monaco Cayman Diesel Pusher with a 4000 Lb hitch and the 2005 Monaco Cayman came with a 7500 lb hitch. Where can I find a 7500 lb hitch for my coach? Thanks

In order to add a hitch with that kind of capacity to your 2004 Monaco Cayman you are going to need the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver - Weld On - Class V - 2". We have the # 41990-07 with 7" brackets or # 41990-16 with 16" brackets depending on the distance between the frame rails and the bottom of your rear bumper.

Since this hitch requires welding I recommend taking it to a local welder for installation. The hitch has a 16,000 lb max gross trailer weight and 1,600 lb max tongue weight. Keep in mind, you will be limited by the towing capacity of your RV.
