What Gauge Wiring Should I Use To Connect Two 12V Batteries In My Battery Bank

Question:
Hello can I use normal 13 A house electric cable ie brown and the blue cable to connect the batteries together. As in brown cable to both 12v leisure batteries positive to positive and the blue cable to negative to negative? Many thanks

Expert Reply:
We recommend using at least a 14 gauge wire with your 12 V battery bank. If your 13 A electric cables are 14 gauge or bigger you should not have any issues. If you do not have the correct size, you can use the Deka Jacketed 4-Wire - 14 Gauge - Per Foot, part # DW04923-1. This is a 14 gauge wire we sell by the foot.
