Can Wedge Mirror Be Mounted In Multiple Positions
Question:
I have a 2012 Ram 1500 pickup and would like to install the wedge mirrors. Most of them indicate best position toinstall is lower right or left and they seem to be shaped for this. I feel the best position is top right and left like the ones now built into the newer ford products. But there seems to be an issue here that the shape of the wedge is such that if it is positioned at the top the convex portion is going to point upwards somewhat because the bottom is thicker than the top. Can you comment as to if any of the various wedge mirrors are shaped thickness taper for to be located top outside like I want to do?

I spoke with my contact at Cipa and they told me that the mirror can be mounted anywhere on the mirror of your 2012 Dodge Ram 1500. To make certain you place this in the best position for you, I would suggest you do not remove the cover on the mounting pad, putting something temporary like adhesive tape and placing the wedge mirror on your truck mirror to find the best location. Then remove the cover for the mounting pad and place the mirror in the spot that works best for you.
