Recommended Black Tank Waste Valve Replacement For Tight Areas

Updated 05/09/2022 | Published 05/08/2022

Question:

I currently have Bristol waste valves on my travel trailer. The gray tank valve is easy to pull..the black tank valve requires me to get on my knees and pull the handle out towards the front of the trailer…and it’s difficult because it’s behind the tire. Your site shows several products…not sure which product would work better for me. I could send you a picture to show the current setup. Appreciate any help to determine a better operation. Thanks…

Since the placement of the blank waste valve handle makes it hard to operate I recommend switching out the valve with a cable actuated valve that will allow you to place the handle exactly where you need it. The LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve for Black Water Tank # 34466N4AB36GM comes with a 36" cable that will allow you to easily activate your valve without having to fight the tire.

The valve can easily be removed from the fittings by removing the four bolts through it and can then be swapped into your double waste valve.

We also have larger cable lengths if 36" isn't enough for your application:

48" # 34466N4AB48GMA
72" # 34466N4AB72GMA
96" # 34466N4BB96GM
120" # 34466N4AB120GM
