Cant seems to figure out were to get the signal on my 2008 chevy express without towing package for the brake controller POD code 39523-20127. 2008 and 2009 seems to have different wiring.

The brake stop lamp switch is located at the top of the brake pedal of your 2008 Chevy Express. You're looking for the cold side circuit wire that only shows voltage when the brake pedal is pressed. This should be a white wire, but I'd recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to confirm.
