You'll need a tow bar, base plates, safety cables, wiring for the taillights, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high/low adapter if the installed height of the base plates has a height difference compared to the motorhome hitch greater than three inches. I'll link to an article that shows how to measure for the height difference, along with a listing of our available high/low adapters.
For a tow bar, I'd recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain tow bar, part # RM-522 along with the # RM-521451-5 which is for vehicles with the factory tow hooks and without the active air shutters.
If your vehicle doesn't have tow hooks and is equipped with the air shutters, use the Blue Ox # BX1144 along with the # RM-525 Falcon 2 tow bar.
For safety cables, use # RM-643 and # RM-152-98146-7 for a wiring kit.
The best braking system for you will depend on how long you're planning on hanging on to the vehicle. If you'll only have it for a year or three, a portable braking system like the # HM39524 Brake Buddy that you can use on a different vehicle in the future would be best.
If you hang on to a vehicle more a longer period of time, a permanently installed system would provide more convenience. If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes, use the Demco Stay In Play DUO, part # SM99251 would be a great choice. For motorhomes with air brakes, use the # SM99243 Air Force One.
I've linked to some installation videos that you might find helpful.
