Question:
Your recommendations for a universal tow mirror for my 04 tundra. I’ve read poor reviews about the custom ones for these tundras. Most people say the mirrors are too small. Leaning more towards the strapped on versions

The Longview Custom Towing Mirrors # CTM4000 for your 2004 Toyota Tundra Access Cab will have a mirror that is 5-1/2" wide x 4-1/2" tall.
With a universal set like the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors # 7070-2 the mirrors are 7-1/2" long x 5" tall.
While the larger mirror will give you more to see they are going to end up being less visible at most highway speeds as the larger mirror will tend to get a vibration from the wind hitting the mirror. The custom fit mirror will be more clear as it has the shell added that stabilizes the mirror. This is why I prefer the custom fit mirrors when I am towing.
