What Is the Warranty on the Brake Caliper for the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit for Dexter 10,000 Lb Axles

Updated 01/25/2022 | Published 01/24/2022

Question:

Hello, I installed this disk brake kit on my trailer, part # K2R1058D11E, a little over a year ago. I have no complains of the system, it worked flawlessly until today, For whatever reason one of the calipers fell off or blew up while I was driving. Does the 3 year warranty cover that? I have no idea why or how it happened. Maybe the caliper was defective from the beginning? Please let me know how to procced. Thank you

The Kodiak Disc Brake Kit for Dexter 10,000 Lb Axles part # K2R1058D11E does have a three year warranty but with any product, the warranty really only covers manufacturing defects. If improper installation occurred such as not yielding the correct torque value, failing to retorque after X mileage, or failing to use a locking compound occurred then these conditions would not be covered under warranty. If you need a replacement caliper we do carry these, the Kodiak Disc Brake Caliper part # KDBC2250E.
