Expert Reply:
The Dexter Single Axle Heavy Duty Suspension Kit - Double Eye Springs item # K71-403-00 you referenced does not add lift to your trailer. The best way to lift your trailer is to use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit item # K71-385-00 for 3 inch diameter axles or the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit item # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8" diameter axles. These over and under conversion kits move your axle below your trailer's leaf springs and give you a lift equivalent to the axle size and the thickness of the spring pack.
