Is there a hitch receiver for the 2013 golf tdi that has less of the beam that goes the width of the car showing. Thanks!

The Curt trailer hitch, # C11000, has about as much of the crossmember showing but the round tube design fits the overall design of the vehicle, in my opinion, than the other hitch options. I have linked the instructions for you. You can look at some of the customer submitted review photos and judge for yourself. I think it looks pretty good.

If you plan on doing some towing the correct ball mount is # C45016. You will also need pin and clip # PC2. Fora 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. If you plan on using the hitch for an accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier, Curt recommends the use of stabilization strap # 18050.
